What a fucking nightmare!
I've been trying to book flights to Edinburgh after finding out that my trip home from scotland involves stops and bus rides at Stevage to Welwyn Garden City and then to Kings Cross.
But all the flights cost in excess of £150 quid! I'm not that far out of my overdraft!
So I'm spending sunday 28th on a train and GNER are shite trains. I loathe them.
5 fucking hours on a train when I could have flown in an hour and a half.
Bastards.

Grrrr! Well, hey, bring a good book. Or better yet, find someone nice and strike up a conversation (even though Flash says this is difficult for you Brits to do).

If it's not too late try looking on www.skyscanner.net - it compares most of the cheap airlines - you can search from Edinburgh to All London airports... flights seem to start from £50 inc. tax...

Its a bit late now J but thanks for the hint, I'll use it next time I plan on going up to visit.
Once spent 16 hours on a train.
Now THAT was despicable.
All you need now is for the air-conditioning to break down on the train...not that I'm trying to jinx you or anything...
Take your own drinks and snacks just in case!
